Top of the morning!
Two of the most useful 3rd party tools are Base Doctor and Ultimate Shipyard. These let you tinker around with base designs and fleet builds, respectively, so that you don’t waste your time and resources doing it in-game. I use these tools A LOT and will likely reference them regularly so I thought I’d tell you where they are and what they can do for you.
As the name suggests, this tool lets you plan out your designs. It’s pretty straight-forward to use and there are instructions that can be viewed by clicking the View Instructions button at the top. One of my favourite features is the ability to view (and even adjust) turret ranges and save your designs. It also creates a handy image of your base that can be saved and then posted somewhere. Here’s what my base currently looks like:
It’s not a perfect base but it holds its own against most fleets. I am going to change it tho since someone was able to crack it with Siege Mortar Strike Cruisers. Granted, it was a requested base test and I removed my guard fleet for it but most serious hitters clear out guard fleets first anyway.
How many Siege Mortars can I fit in a fleet? How high can I get the evade on a Strike Cruiser? Just how fast can I get the Interdictor to go? These are all questions that, at one time, could only be answered by the in-game Shipyard and a calculator. And if your Shipyard was busy, well tough luck. That’s where Ultimate Shipyard comes in. If you’ve read my post about Floating Fortress Auto-Salvage Fleet, you’ve already seen me link to some fleets built in Ultimate Shipyard. There really isn’t an easier way to tinker with ship builds and share them. It’s usually updated pretty quickly, although the new Arbiter hull hasn’t been added yet. I suspect this is because he has to code in the Tactical Modules, which will take time. That’s OK though because I have a zillion other things I want to try out.
And by the way, this is how fast you can get an Interdictor to go:
A whopping 90.1 mph map speed. With an officer, that’s a blistering 99 mph. Not only that but it does insane building DPS. Five of these bad boys would have definitely cleaned up at Base Invaders. It’s a shame there won’t be any more of those (next event will be something completely different).

I keep trying to get to the Ultimate shipyard but none of my browsers will bring it up… yet i can get to it on my iphone.

IE doesn’t work just sits on the page where it is loading. I know it works on the Firefox browser.

i have tried to load the ultimate shipyard for over a month cant find a way to do it any ideas

There’s a Show Instructions button on the top left that will bring up a tutorial.
Been using Ultimate Shipyard for some time now. I would gladly submit the data that it is missing but have found no way of doing so.
You can submit information via the official thread on the forums: http://forums.kixeye.com/showthread.php?t=208159. I think all of the new stuff has already been submitted but the creator is just too busy with other things to do it right now.
was looking at a Dread X build the weight is different from shipbuilder, ship builder is a lot higher weight is this common.
What level Shipyard were you using in Ultimate Shipyard and what level do you have in-game?

The mirror site is infected but the original site, http://bp.tel4u.gr/, is clean and running again. It has also been updated with all items up to and including the prizes from Drac Hunt 2.
